Lydia Bean

Lydia Bean is a Ph.D. Candidate in Sociology at Harvard University. Her previous research explores policy feedback effects, particularly the impact of the increase in government contracting on popular conceptions of "government" as opposed to "private" action. Her goal is to help design programs that are politically sustainable as well as efficient. Lydia's dissertation compares the civic engagement of theologically Conservative Protestants in the United States and Canada.
